Ankeny Community Theatre has provided live theater in Ankeny since 1981. ACT is committed to educating and entertaining the Ankeny community - presenting five productions a year during its nine month season. The small theatre was born through the enthusiastic efforts of an Ankeny Methodist minister and members of his parish. Over the years, the theatre has grown to encompass more of the community while moving from location to location. We strongly urge you to patronize and support community theatre, but also to participate. There are many ways you can become a part of this organization. Audition announcements for all productions are posted in these local publications: Ankeny Register, Press Citizen, Datebook, and here on the web site. If you would like to act, direct, produce, or be involved with one of our productions, we welcome your involvement.
